Job Title: Industrial Electrician/Panel Builder
Description:
This position requires strong Industrial Electrical and Panel building and problem-solving skills. Reliability and attention to detail are essential. This dynamic position will involve a wide range of tasks with limited supervision.
Responsibilities:
A wiring schematic is provided for panel wiring (no wire lists). A layout drawing is provided for component arrangement and mounting. Control cabinet sizes range from 30" x 30" enclosures (common) to multi-bay interconnecting free standing enclosures (infrequent). Once panel building, sensor installation and machine wiring are complete, the electrician will complete temporary interconnect wiring for testing procedures under supervision. This position includes various maintenance and trouble-shooting tasks for plant equipment when needed. Out of town / overnight travel is very rare but expected when needed. Some overtime may be required.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of previous industrial control panel and machine wiring experience desired.
- Ability to learn and perform LOTO procedures when required for testing or maintenance.
- Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and basic layout drawings for mounting inverter drives, PLC’s, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, contractors, terminals, etc.
- Understand the use of hand tools, hand crimpers, wire cutters, wire strippers, basic electrical testing equipment (i.e. multi-meter, mega ohmmeter, loop calibrator, etc.).
- Capable of using drill, tap, and knock out punches in mounting of components inside control panels.
- Able to perform point to point wiring of internal components such as terminal blocks, relays, PLC’s, motor starters and drives (VFD’s) utilizing electrical schematics.
- Familiar with electric motor connections for testing.
- Familiar with EMT, Flex and Rigid conduit (will train)
- Experience with 110-240-480 volt industrial power applications
Requirements:
The employee is required to have or obtain a basic tool kit. Specialty tools are provided (i.e. crimpers, punches, jig saw, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00+ per hour (depending on experience)
